Carillon Historical Park is an outdoor museum with exhibits that preserve and interpret the unique history of Dayton from pioneer times to the present day. It takes up 65 acres just south of the downtown area, directly across the river from the University of Dayton Arena. The park's Carillon itself is the largest in the state, with 57 bells; other attractions include Dayton's oldest building, a collection of Wright Brothers memorabilia, and samples of famous local inventions such as the Liberty aircraft engine.
