The Dayton Visual Arts Center is a gathering place and exhibition hall for regional contemporary artists, presenting an array of shows and workshops throughout the year. It has hosted such artists as watercolorist John Emery, documentary photographer Dan Younger, and many more. It occupies one of the city's historic Hillsmith buildings in the heart of the downtown arts district, near the Schuster Center and the Vistoria Theatre.
